Only a decade ago, women heavily outweighed the men who came to play at the local bingo halls.  But today, that has all changed.  Bingo is now slowly growing in popularity among the men of the world, at least in bingo halls.

But when it comes to online bingo, there are quite a lot more male members joining in on the fun.  The reason behind this is not so easy to explain.  Actually, there are numerous reasons as to why men are liking the internet version of bingo; however, some reasons do not have much logic behind them.

But it seems that men prefer to relax in the privacy of their own home, which allows them to pop open a beer, lounge around in their pajamas, and enjoy a game of bingo behind closed doors.  Plus, they can always talk to other players via chat rooms.  The chat rooms on bingo websites give players a cloak of anonymity, allowing them to be more open with what they say.  For men, that saves them the annoyance of having to hear people around them engage in idle chit chat that sometimes distracts them from the numbers being called.  Online bingo just makes it easier because many sites mark the number on the board for the player so they can sit back and watch the game unfold before their eyes.

And now that many of the bingo websites that once centered around female players are now catering to the males, men are more eager than ever to sign up and play bingo.
